New Beginnings for Warmer Winters Warmer Winters is grateful for all our blessings: Our New home at the First Parish Unitarian Church,
Located in Leominster, MA, we work with area charities to distribute the new, hand-crafted hats, mittens, scarves, and sweaters to people in need in Massachusetts.
Warmer Winters depends on it's dedicated and caring volunteers to operate.
Along with any donations of hand-crafted items, we also accept monetary donations.
We teach people how to knit and crochet to enable them to help us fulfill our mission, but to give them a purpose and to engage them in their community.
$25 provides the materials for hats and mittens for four small children | $50 provides the materials for sweaters for four small children | $100 provides the materials for hats, mittens and scarves for eight adults
Warmer Winters would not be able to serve its members and the profession without the contributions of our volunteers. We have very active and professional leaders, but it is the multitude of volunteers who share their time and insight that drive our non-profit organization.
To warm people in need, both their bodies and hearts. To warm their bodies we use a thick, heavy yarn that makes the warmest sweaters, hats, and mittens. Most of our funding goes towards purchasing this yarn. We warm their hearts by giving to people who have little, brand new items made by people who care.
